For those who missed out… It was an interesting event. I wouldnt even call it fully a show more like a celebration with our friends (some of whole celebrated too much too early)… Thanks for everyone who DID come out and pack the house… that was soo greatly appreciated. And thanks again to the artists who came out and made it a dope event.. Phonte, Mickey, Skyzoo, Chip The Ripper, Donnis, Travis, Lil Eddie and of course the Lovely Estelle… Thanks also to Tim William and the Arcade Stars for opening and helping us out on drivin down the block.. So back in 2006 when Kidz In The Hall was gonna come out AFTER Naledge’s First Solo album (Rawkus Didn’t believe in the group thing). We were busting our ass tryna put together the best album ever… Some music you’ve heard on School Was My Hustle.. Others on Detention. And some we are still keeping it tight for the release early next year.

This record has 3 or 4 versions… lol… It was on a mixtape naledge and I did “College Graduate”. I remixed it 2wice and then one day I found this damn sample…. David Oliver - I want to write you a love song…. This has been the craziest shit I have found since “Shaft In Africa”… I made 2 beats out of it… One ended up becoming “Free At Last” On Freeway’s last album and then this God Bless (Dedicate)..

So back to the story.. we mixed half of Naledge’s would be solo with my man Disco D before Rawkus decided to wait on releasing it because there was no “radio single”… so we decided to do the Kidz In The Hall album and put it togther in a month or so. Rawkus heard it and wanted to drop it as a “street album” to build buzz for Naledge Solo…

Cuz of the fans the album took a life of it’s own and here were are album numero dos. If you copped the album on itunes then you have a version of this song God Bless. I had to replay the whole Freeway sample because David Oliver’s estate wanted too much damn money… So I am giving this up to the people since we cannot clear it. Disco D, may he rest in peace, mixed it and that adds more emotion and power to the song in my opinion. Aloha, a crazy vocalist from American Idol (season ionno) dropped by and jumped on it. To me the sample, her and subject matter make this one of my favorite kidz songs evaaarrr…
